International Remembrance Day of Roma Victims of the Pharraimos (Holocaust)

Private individuals and civil associations, i.a. the Phralipe Independent Roma Association,(1) invite you to a quiet homage and wreath laying

on Tuesday, 2 August 2011, at 10 am

in Budapest IX. Nehru part (quay)(2) at the Roma Holocaust Memorial.(3)

This year no speeches and memorial programmes will be held. Nevertheless, keeping in evidence our past is matter of conscience for civilians. Therefore, we shall commemorate Roma victims of Holocaust by laying a candle, a flower or a wreath to the memorial.

The Roma Holocaust Memorial can be accessed by a few-minutes walk to the north from the Pestside abutment of the Petőfi bridge.
