Commemoration about the roma victims

20/02/2011 Hungary Budapest III., Békásmegyer, Újmegyeri square

The double murder in Tatárszentgyörgy (a roma father and his little sun were killed) was 3 years ago.
Now we commemorate them and the other roma victims.
Date: 20/02/2011 09:00
Place: The House of Reconciliation in Budapest III., Békásmegyer, Újmegyeri square (1)
Preacher: Gabor Ivanyi, Methodist pastor
Speaking: László Donáth, Lutheran pastor

2008-2009 Hungary: There was a series of attacks against Hungarian roma people(2)

23/02/2009: Robert Csorba (a 27 year old Roma) ran out of his burning house in Tatárszentgyörgy/Hungary/ carrying his five-year old son Robert (Robika) in his arms. Once out of the house they were immediately put to death by a lead shot gun.

An artist made a monument as a memorial to the roma victims.
Two trunks of oak tree: Buddhas falling hand and the tilted neverending column - the world tree.

The authority of Tatárszentgyörgy didn't permit erecting the statue on the place of murders. So it was placed in the garden of the church of the Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship (The House of Reconciliation) in Budapest, Békásmegyer (3):
